Job Description
The Account Director will serve as senior client leader, overseeing digital and social programs for a series of established global clients. We are looking for an experienced leader with deep social media expertise both from receipt of a brief through to implementation. The ideal candidate will be a blend of strategic thinker + integrated marketing knowledge + team and client relationship leader.
This is an exciting role with excellent career opportunities, so we are seeking candidates who have a minimum of 5 - 6 years’ experience managing medium sized projects. They should be energetic, proactive team players with a can-do approach to the everyday as well as thrive on delivering solutions to the more challenging tasks. The role will also suit someone with an ability to work autonomously within a supportive team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build strong relationships with clients as the day-to-day client contact
Manage, supervise, and motivate several account team members
Address client issues thoughtfully and effectively
Assist in successfully growing existing accounts
Actively manage profitability, client budgets, out of pocket expenses, and limit write-offs and other debt.
Coordinate with Edelman Digital’s design, production, and specialty services teams to deliver programs on time and on budget.
Understanding of the research, planning and development of comprehensive digital and social programs
Successfully launch products and programs
Evaluate campaign results against objectives

QUALIFICATIONS:

Extensive agency experience and a leader who inspires and motivates a team
Experienced client service expert who knows how to act as a strategic partner with a global brand
A demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful digital and social strategies and programs
Someone who has a concrete history of taking visible action to provide, directly or indirectly, high-quality, strategic creative outcomes and customer service to clients
Candidates must have at least 5 - 6 years of relevant experience in digital marketing and communications.
Experience working with leading global brands
Deep knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms
Expertise in social media measurement
