Job Description
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sales cycle.
As part of the Oracle sales team you will direct and manage pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle. Provides technical/functional leadership to the sales team in the development and implementation of customer applications and customer products. Participates in account planning and strategy development. May publishes technical information of specific applications and/or technical articles. Works with management to define new products. Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations important. Knowledge of software industry relating to all aspects of ebusiness solutions. Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to Travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

We need an exceptional Applications Sales Consulting (Pre-Sales) Director to lead our entire Applications Sales Consulting group across ERP, CX/CRM, HCM and EPM. Could this be the job you've been waiting for but thought you've have to move overseas to get?

Responsible for leading and managing the Application Sales Consulting team across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), you will coach and mentor a team of 6 management level direct reports and indirectly influence customer outcomes and growth objectives.

A Day In Your Life At Oracle Could Include
Having 1-2-1's with your managers to discuss talent management, attraction and retention, career objectives of their teams and utilization activity plus the career goals of your managers themselves
Participating in key-account planning sessions and contributing to their business development and marketing activities.
Meeting with Sales Directors to support their business plans and reviewing the resourcing of opportunities
Build cross-LOB relationships with our Systems, Database and Middleware businesses to achieve cohesive results
Supporting business development, demand generation and marketing activities as required
Identifying the appropriate Channel partners to assist in responding to RFIs and RFPs
Ensure your teams can develop and deliver high quality Oracle presentations and demonstrations, handle objections and articulate high level product capability and business value.
Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.

This Is a Growing/evolving Team Supporting a Growing/evolving Sales Team That Requires Experience, Domain Knowledge, Dedication And Drive. Therefore, be Successful You'll Have
Several years experience managing pre-sales teams of at least 15+ people with Applications specialization (ERP, CRM, EPM and/or HCM).
A proven track record of people leadership AND change management experience.
Significant experience in responding to proposals, providing solutions, leading bid projects etc.
An understanding of sales management functions (e.g., account planning, opportunity planning and forecasting)
Tertiary qualifications to degree level as a minimum.
