About the Role and Responsibilities

As the Sales Specialist for ANZ, you will develop and grow customer relationships and develop pipeline focused on the McAfee Next Generation Firewall product range (Stonesoft) in Australia and New Zealand. You will have extensive experience in selling network security and have a deep understanding of the sales and implementation cycle. You will be responsible for sourcing new business opportunities in our existing customer base as well as new logo accounts. This role will require strong cross functional engagement with the McAfee sales, pre sales and channel organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for meeting and exceeding assigned revenue quota
- Focus on growing new business within named accounts
- Responsible for managing and growing territory, maximizing short term revenue, building future sales pipeline through demonstrated account and territory planning
- Ability to work with a sales engineering team and other areas of McAfee in closing complex networking-security opportunities at the C-Level
- Partner with other business units in identifying other opportunities outside your core product portfolio
- Building and maintaining a constant/future accurate pipeline
- Develop, maintain and implement account plans and opportunity plans
- Maintain and improve customer satisfaction
- Engage with appropriate channel partners
- Management of sales CRM tool
- Managing your own time and attend team meetings & account reviews
- Engage McAfee senior execs where required within assigned territory
- Keep knowledge up to date of the Security market and meet training targets to maintain a thorough.
- Understanding of McAfee products, process and promotions to provide the highest levels of sales support

Qualifications

- Demonstrable track record of sales within Enterprise customers
- Focus on growing new business within named and commercial accounts
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in sales of security and network infrastructure products of e.g. CheckPoint, Cisco, Juniper or similar
- Knowledge in WAN and LAN architecture, general understanding of switching and routing and networking overall
- Extensive knowledge of Network Security products and relevant security risks
- A self-starter needing low level management time and attention to perform day to day responsibilities
- Experienced, competent and comfortable with Board Level negotiations
- Works closely with and understands how to engage members of the technical services and professional services organization early in the sales cycle
- Proven consistent experience in quota attainment selling security or networking services
- Understands the market issues and trends affecting business and use of IT
- Experience in working with the channel partners either as managing the channel or selling with the channel to the end customers. Must understand what is the value add of the channel and how the channel works
- Must be computer literate with email, Internet, word processing and spreadsheets
- Clear, accurate and concise reporting
- Outstanding communication skills; both verbal and written
- Direct selling expertise, 'hunter' mentality. Working knowledge of channel sales model and utilizing the channel to drive revenue
- Formal sales training and proven proficiency in implementing planned sales campaigns, such as Target Account Selling methodology or other Sales/Business methodologies
- Ability to travel (up to 40% of time spent outside home office)
